psychology student, intern, counselling, therapy

I am working towards becoming a therapist to support individuals on their journey toward healing and growth. I am no stranger to how challenging life can be, and I consider it a great privilege to be able to help create positive changes in others’ lives.

I am currently completing my Master of Counselling degree at City University and am eager to apply the skills I have developed throughout my program in a practical setting. Working with children, youth, individuals and couples, I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy techniques to best fit the unique needs of clients dealing with presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem issues and coping skills.

Apart from the courses completed through City University, I have completed trainings through the Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute on topics such as vicarious trauma, harm reduction and suicide intervention, as well as Brain Story Certification through the Alberta Family Wellness Initiative.
