Kristina Ingram is a Registered Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree, specialization in Clinical Social Work. Kristina’s primary area of focus is divorce and separation, working with the entire family, children (over 12) and individuals going through this big family change. Kristina works with families in the Collaborative Family Law Process, voluntary process, or with those in high-conflict through court-ordered interventions under the Practice Note 7 Guidelines. Kristina hopes for early intervention with families going through this difficult time prior to conflict escalating, however if conflict is set in then a direct, future and solution-focused approach with these families is key.
Kristina has many years of experience working with children and families through traumatic and crisis-related issues including substance abuse, child abuse, intimate partner violence, mental health, relationship concerns, parenting issues, and social issues.
Kristina enters each therapeutic relationship in a transparent and respectful manner, and ready to work in the therapeutic process. Kristina primarily utilizes a Cognitive-Behavioural, Mindfulness-Based, and Emotionally-Focused approach with a Strengths-Based perspective to build awareness and self-reflection, while instilling hope and change for clients. Kristina subscribes to the viewpoint that the individual is interconnected with others and their environment, and these connections can contribute to the overall concern and betterment.
